Nasal aesthetic surgery is done under general anaesthesia. The bandage lasts for a week and plaster is used. You should not remove the plaster at home. A buffer may or may not be used. Your nose figure will be complete in 6 months. The total healing period is 6-12 months. The surgery is performed by plastic surgeons.

Bruising after the surgery

There may be bruising depending on the patients skin, bone and vein structure. There have been patients who experienced no bruising at all. Whether heavy bruising or light bruising, the healing period is the same for both.

After the surgery,when you are back in your resting room, the ice dressing has to be done correctly.

Pain and soreness after the Nasal aesthetic surgery

For the first 2 days after the operation patients can experience a blockage in the nasal cavities. Even though breathing through the nose is possible, because of the blockage, patients tend to breathe through their mouth. As a result, this can cause dryness in the throat which may result in soreness. This is similar to the soreness we experience when we catch a cold. There is no other pain or soreness.

Usage of buffers in Nasal aesthetic surgeries

The most frequently asked question from patients is will a buffer be used.Not all patients intranasal problems arethe same. The use of a buffer is dependant on the individual problem.Nowadays, silicone buffers are used which are comfortable for the patients. Patients can still breathe despite the buffer. There is false informations on the internet relating to buffers. I will provide full details during your examination.

Male Nasal aesthetic surgery

Male aesthetic surgery is a little bit different from Female aesthetic surgery. Whereas females have the choice of a natural or aesthetic nasal figure,males are generally given natural nose figures.

Depending on your specific problem Rhinoplasty, Septorhinoplasty or TipPlasty surgeries are performed. During your examination we determine which surgery is needed.

It is more important that you have a successful operation, rather than knowing the techniques of the operation. During your examination, defining your wishes and expectations through good communication is really important. With the help of the 3D visualization programme and a good pre-examination, we are confident that you will be happy after the operation.

If you are not happy with the tip of your nose, TipPlasty surgeries are performed. They are conducted with local anesthesia.

Open method or Closed method?

I prefer the open method. This is not to suggest that the“Open method” is better, but simply that this is my preferred method of surgery

Healing period after the Nasal aesthetic surgery

1. Conducted in operating room conditions.

2. When you return to your resting room, you will have a plaster on your nose. The plaster will be removed after 7 days by your plastic surgeon.

3. The plasters are resistant to water. You will be able to wash your face with the condition that you do not wet the plaster too much.
