How is Labiaplasty done? Inner Labia Aesthetics, How is Labiaplasty conducted, how long does the surgery take? The inner labia may be loose or sagging in the outer genital area. Under normal circumstances the inner labia should be inside the outer labia and should not be sagging. If its lower, this situation may cause some complaints. Some patients are uncomfortable with it purely for aesthetic reasons. Sometimes it might create hygienic problems or complaints during sexual intercourse. It is possible to fix this by reducing the size of the inner labia. This operation can be done under local or general anaesthesia. General anaesthesia is generally preferred for this area because it is more comfortable. The operation takes approximately 40-45 minutes. We use stitches that break down by themselves, so it is unnecessary to return at a later date to have the stitches removed. There are many different techniques for Labiaplasty surgeries. Here are the two preferred methods: 1. The sagging parts are marked, removed and the remaining tissue is stitched. 2. If the excess skin is not just downwards but frontwards to backwards, the removal is done accordingly. Whichever genital area method is used, there is a good aesthetic result and the functional complaints are resolved.
